Arcus 1856 announces appointment of Gary Delaney

London, 15 February 2017 – Arcus Syndicate 1856 (Arcus 1856) has today announced the appointment of Gary Delaney as syndicate manager, with immediate effect. Mr. Delaney will support active underwriter Nicky Payne in running all aspects of the syndicate’s underwriting operations. He will report to Rajiv Punja, head of Arcus Syndicate.

Most recently, Mr. Delaney was a class of business deputy executive at Lloyd’s. As part of the class of business team, he worked with the underwriting performance department and Performance Management Directorate (PMD) to monitor all classes of business across the market. He joined Lloyd’s in 2008 as an analyst within the PMD’s business intelligence division. Prior to this, he worked as a claims/data analyst at Munich Re from 2005 to 2008.
